I ordered my usual size, but the cap felt a little too tight and looked kinda odd once I put it on. The return process was easy enough, I just wish the size chart had been more helpful

The cap feels sturdy, and you can tell there was some care put into making it. Most of the stitching looks clean, but one seam on mine was a little uneven. It’s not a huge deal, but for the price I expected it to be a bit better. Whoever runs this should probably keep a closer eye on the final checks...

I bought this cap last winter and have worn it pretty much every day since. My quick test for stuff like this is simple: if the stitching still looks good after months of use, I’m happy. This one passes that test easily.

I wanted to like this, and I’m not trying to be overly picky, but the material just feels cheaper than I expected for the price. It’s kind of thin and rough, and after only a few wears it already started looking a little worn out. Maybe I expected too much, but I’ve bought from them before and thought the quality would be better...
"Looks good, but the ear flaps miss the mark"
I really wanted to like this hat because the overall look is nice, and that’s what I noticed first. But once I wore it outside, all I could focus on was the ear flaps. They don’t stay down very well, especially when it’s windy, and they don’t fully cover my ears the way I expected. It’s not a bad hat, but for the price, I was hoping it would be a lot more practical in cold weather.

"Embroidery came out crooked"
I paid extra for the custom embroidery and it came out crooked and messy. Not sure who checked it before sending it out, but whoever runs this really needs to get a better handle on quality control. Definitely didn’t feel worth the extra cost.

"Nice history, but not really worth it"
I’ll admit, the Stormy Kromer history and old-school vibe are what got me to order in the first place. It’s a cool story, but once I actually got the item, it felt like I was mostly paying for the name and heritage more than anything else. It wasn’t awful, just not as special as I’d hoped. The extra hype around it felt a little unnecessary to me. Shipping was fine, but I don’t think I’d buy again.

"Pretty disappointing packaging for the price"
I ordered a hat from Stormy Kromer, the packaging felt a little cheap for what I paid. It arrived in a flimsy mailer with barely any protection, so the hat was somewhat squished when I opened it. I know it’s just packaging, but at this price point, it gave off a careless first impression. I expected better.

"Arrived sooner than expected"
It got here way faster than I thought it would. The shipping was super quick, and everything showed up without any issues at all, even the packaging was in good shape.

"Nice warm hat, but the stitching didn’t last"
I liked this hat at first because it’s warm and comfy, but the seams started coming apart quickly. It’s a good hat overall, just wish the stitching held up better.

"Cute Hat, Total Disaster in Wet Weather"
I really wanted to love this hat because it does look nice, but the second wet snow got involved, things went downhill fast. It soaked through way quicker than I expected, which was a bit tragic. The wind also sneaks in more than it ever did with my old cap, so my head was basically living through a tiny winter crisis

I tried ordering from stormykromer.com and ended up giving up after a bit. The site felt slow and awkward to use, and a couple pages didn’t seem to load properly for me. Finding the size info also took way more digging than I expected, which made the whole thing feel kind of annoying.
The checkout process wasn’t much better either. I felt like I had to click around too much, and it wasn’t very clear where I was supposed to go next. Maybe they’re in the middle of updating the site or something, I don’t know, but it definitely didn’t feel like a smooth online shopping experience.

"Thought it’d be warmer"
I assumed this would be a lot warmer just from the look of it, but it ended up being only okay. It does add some warmth, just not as much as I expected.

"Better selection than I expected"
I mainly stopped by Stormy Kromer to look for a cap and didn’t think I’d spend much time there, but I ended up browsing hats, jackets, and a bunch of other outdoor gear. The selection was actually good, maybe better than I was expecting. Finding sizes and colors was mostly straightforward, though I did have to go back and forth a bit comparing options. Overall, it seemed solid enough, and I’d probably shop there again.

I really wanted to like these, but they start feeling stiff after wearing them for a while. I also had to chase them up about my complaint, which made the whole experience a bit more frustrating than it needed to be.

I really do like the hat I bought, it looks good and feels well made. I’m careful about what I spend money on, so I was happy at first because it felt like I’d paid for something worth it.
The frustrating part was trying to get help with a sizing question. I emailed and waited almost a week, and when I finally got a response, it sounded like a generic copy-and-paste answer that didn’t really solve anything. For what I paid, I expected the customer service to be a lot better

"Just not really my vibe"
I really thought I might like it, but once I tried it on, it just didn’t work for me. The style feels kind of outdated and a little bulky, at least on my frame. The colors are muted too, which I guess some people might like, but they felt dull to me. It has that outdoorsy look, which can be cute on the right person, but I’m sure it just looked awkward on me.

"Order was correct, eventually"
I ordered a hat and a pair of mittens from Stormy Kromer, and to their credit, everything in the package was actually right. The sizes, colors, and items all matched what I picked online, which apparently isn’t always something you can take for granted these days.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because shipping took a little longer than I was expecting. Not the end of the world, obviously, but it would’ve been nice if it showed up when I thought it would.
Overall, I’m happy with the order. The items are nice, and it was refreshing to open the box and find exactly what I ordered, even if it took its sweet time getting here
